In an ecosystem where fashion trends change very quickly, and where the small craftsman lives threatened, we had the idea to create a project where we mix between the trendy design, and the craftsmanship with its sustainable and ethical values. IDYR is the Moroccan ethical brand, which offers unique trendy accessories, hand-woven with the Boucherouite technique. Boucherouite is an ancient weaving technique invented by poor Berber families. In the cold of winter, children and animals lacked blankets, mothers of families had the idea to weave heavy HARDAL duvets woven from worn clothes. The Boucherouite has always loved protecting families and their environment, We’re pursuing the beginning of a beautiful story here at IDYR. Created in 2017, IDYR which means living in the Berber language, has promised to offer a new life to tons of tissue waste meant to be dumped, to the future of hundreds of craftsmen forgotten behind the pace of fast fashion, and to a culture less and less known full of beautiful values and stories.
